Creating Better Environments

At the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, we are dedicated to protecting our planet, fostering a sustainable future and ensuring that our iconic venue not only offers unforgettable experiences but also contributes to the well-being of our environment.

Nestled within the beauty of Griffith Park, we take our responsibility to protect this natural space seriously. Through innovative green initiatives we strive to reduce our environmental impact while enhancing the local ecosystem. With the help of Los Angeles Recreation and Parks, the Greek started the Green Zone Project to lessen our environmental impact.

Recycling and Waste

In an efforts to recycle and reduce waster we currently have the following programs on site: cardboard baler, waste baler and compactor, composter, marked recycling containers throughout the venue, and we are a plastic-free venue.

Air Quality

To reduce traffic and congestion the Greek Theatre offers a shuttle parking system for concert goers. Greek guests are also encourage to take public transportation and use the Dash Bus, which runs 7 days per week.

Water Consumption

Griffith Park uses recycled water for irrigation throughout the parks and grounds. In addition, all of our bathrooms on site are operated at a low-flow sink and toilet level, including backstage dressing rooms.

Resource Management

Concerts and events at the venue utilize mobil tickets to reduce ticket printing. We currently encourage employees to enroll in direct deposit, participate in a "power down" office which includes lights, computers, and electronics when not in use. Lastly, our surrounding Greek Theatre parking lots feature automatic LED lights.
